REFUREC scoping meeting in London
With a view to enabling the most efficient contact and knowledge sharing between the organisations tasked with regulating renewable fuels in Europe and beyond, the UK’s Renewable Fuels Agency (RFA) has taken the initiative to establish an informal network of like-minded organisations.
During the past few weeks, the RFA has invited expressions of interest in an informal ‘club’ of renewable fuel regulators – the ‘Renewable Fuels Regulators Club’ (REFUREC). The RFA has received positive responses from current and potential renewable transport fuel regulators / administrators in many EU Member States and beyond.
To officially launch REFUREC, the RFA therefore invited interested parties to an inaugural meeting with a view to discussing how the club members might make the most use of this opportunity.
The event took place on 4 February 2010 in London, with representatives from the UK, Germany, Spain, Ireland, Sweden, France, Denmark, Slovak Republic, Hungary, Netherlands, Portugal and the European Commission.
